Cinnamon Swirl Bread
Cinnamon swirl bread is a delightful treat that combines the comforting flavors of cinnamon and sugar with the soft, fluffy texture of homemade bread. It's often characterized by its marbled appearance, created by layering a sweet cinnamon filling between strands of dough. When baked, it fills your kitchen with a warm, inviting aroma that promises a cozy indulgence with every slice.
Ingredients
2 cups warm water
1 Tbsp yeast
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 vegetable oil
5 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp salt
1/2 c powdered sugar
1Tbsp cinnamon
Parchment paper
Non stick cooking spray
Instructions
1. Place warm water in non metal mixing bowl
2. Sprinkle granulated sugar and yeast over water, mix with wooden spoon and let bloom for 5 minutes
3. Add flour, oil and salt to water mixture and mix well, tun out on floured surface and knead until smooth for 5 minutes.
4. Cover with kitchen towel and let rise in warm place until doubled in size at least 30-45 minutes
5. Preheat tablet as directed ,while preparing inner pot with parchment paper and spray well with cooking spray .
6. When dough has doubled, punch down and split into 2 rounds and roll out each into rectangular shape, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon and roll into cylinder shape, curl cylinder into a snail shape circle. Refrigerate one round while other is baking. Then, lower into inner prepared pan. cover with parchment paper on top of inner pot and place inner lid.
7.Transfer tablet to Rockpot, insert inner pan with prepared bread dough and let bake bake 20 minutes, remove loaf and insert inner rack and flip loaf upside down onto rack and bake remaining 45 min or until done, let cool, slice and serve
Serves 4 Enjoy!
Heating the RockTablet on stovetop:
Place RockTablet on the largest burner. Place inner pot on top of the RockTablet.
Turn the heat on high. Heat the RockTablet for 30 minutes with inner pot sitting on the stone. After 30 minutes, turn off heat, remove inner pot from stone.
Place HOT RockTablet in the bottom of the RockPot. Put the inner cooking pot (full of hot food) in the RockPot on the hot stone. Close the RockPot and latch the lid.
Heating the RockTablet by fire:
Heat the RockTablet for 30 minutes in the fire.
While stone is heating, combine all ingredients in the inner cooking pot and stir.
Place HOT stone in the bottom of the RockPot.
Put inner cooking pot (full of food) in the RockPot on the RockTablet.
Put the lid on the inner pot.
Close the RockPot and latch the lid.
Let it cook for 8 hours, once the ribs are cooked you can remove the RockTablet from the Rockpot and place food back in the Rockpot to keep warm for up to 8 hours.
